Moving Pipe Restrainer
HIGHLIGHTED FEATURES:
- Mitey Titan MPR can be used to restrain out of control pipes due to equipment failure or operator error
- Patent Pending Smart Design
- Uses laser Doppler sensor to measure speed of pipe without contact on pipe (similar to speed sensors used in steel rolling mills)
- Once the set-point is reached, the rams are activated instantaneously to restrain the pipe before it gets out of control
- Can be used with any pressure control equipment where the pipe can escape due to reservoir pressure
- Maximum Working Pressure: 5,000 PSI
- Reduces hazards associated with field operation of pressure control equipment
- Rams machined for each size tubing and are 6 inch in diameter making large contact with pipes
- All materials come with MTR's, Letter of Compliance and Pressure Test Certificates
- Nitrogen bottle and accumulator shown for illustration only, actual pressure source is customized as per application
- Design Safety Factor: 2.5 minimum
